Context + challenge
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the main cause of death globally and an even higher disease burden, posing major and increasing challenges to healthcare systems. Compounding this, nearly half of the European population shows inadequate health literacy, making it difficult to distinguish reliable information and exacerbating existing health inequalities.
Solution
Building an easy-to-use digital health website brings easily accessible, actionable and trustworthy health information to an aging, socio-economically disadvantaged audience. For the most solid scientific backed, Sundi is being realised in a strategic partnership between the Bosch Health Campus, Stuttgart the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
Impact
Users benefit from scientifically vetted content and a deep integration of technical features such as an artificial intelligence chatbot, including extended coaching functionalities. Addressing the critical threats enhances the whole-of-society focus on prevention and empowers the public with trustworthy, evidence-based health information.
